Last updated: 2025-11-20 16:26:33
Operation Scenario
IAM Identity Center administrators can delete permission sets that are no longer needed. This applies to the following scenarios:
- Need to remove unused or obsolete permission sets
- Need to clean up permission sets after organizational changes
- Need to simplify permission management structure
- Need to delete permission sets that have been replaced
Prerequisites
Before deleting a permission set, ensure that:
- You have IAM Identity Center administrator permissions
- The IAM Identity Center has been enabled
- The permission set exists and is accessible
- All authorization records for the permission set have been removed
- You understand that deletion cannot be recovered
Important: You can only delete permission sets that have no authorization records. Please remove all authorizations before deleting the permission set.
Operation Steps
Step 1: Check Authorization Records
- Log in to the Bitdeer AI Cloud console
- Navigate to IAM Identity Center in the service menu
- Select Permission Set Management to view the permission set list
- Click on the permission set name you want to delete to enter the permission set details page
- Check the Authorized Accounts section to see if there are any authorization records
Step 2: Remove Authorization Records (If Any)
If the permission set has authorization records:
- In the permission set details page, view the list of authorized accounts
- Select the accounts that have been assigned this permission set
- Click Remove Authorization or Remove button
- In the drawer, select the permission set to remove and click Confirm
- Repeat this process until all authorization records for the permission set have been removed
Note: You must remove all authorization records before you can delete the permission set.
Step 3: Delete Permission Set
- In the permission set list page, locate the permission set you want to delete
- Click Delete button in the operation column
- The system will perform deletion validation:
- Check if the permission set has any authorization records
- If validation fails (authorization records exist), you will see an error message: "The permission set cannot be deleted because there are assigned accounts. Please remove all assignments before deleting the permission set."
- If validation passes (no authorization records), a confirmation dialog will appear
- Review the deletion confirmation message: "Are you sure you want to delete this permission set?"
- Note the warning: "After deletion, the permission set cannot be recovered."
- Click Confirm to complete the deletion
- The system will display a success message and return to the permission set list page
