Operation Scenario

IAM Identity Center administrators can edit permission sets to add or remove permission policies. This applies to the following scenarios:

  • Need to expand permission scope by adding new policies
  • Need to reduce permission scope by removing policies
  • Need to update permission sets based on changing requirements
  • Need to synchronize permission changes to authorized accounts

Prerequisites

Before editing a permission set, ensure that:

  • You have IAM Identity Center administrator permissions
  • The IAM Identity Center has been enabled
  • The permission set exists and is accessible
  • You understand the impact of policy changes on authorized accounts

Operation Steps

Add Permission Policies

  1. Log in to the Bitdeer AI Cloud console
  2. Navigate to IAM Identity Center in the service menu
  3. Select Permission Set Management to view the permission set list
  4. Click on a permission set name to enter the permission set details page
  5. Click Add Policy button to open the policy selection drawer
  6. In the drawer, select the policies you want to add
  7. Click Confirm to complete the addition
  8. The system will display a success message and show information about authorized accounts
  9. If accounts require synchronization due to policy changes, a "Pending Sync" prompt will appear
  10. Click Sync Now to synchronize the changes to authorized accounts immediately, or choose Sync Later

Remove Permission Policies

  1. In the permission set details page, select the policies you want to remove
  2. Click Remove Policy button to open the policy selection drawer for confirmation
  3. In the drawer, select the policies to remove and click Confirm
  4. The system will display a success message and show information about authorized accounts
  5. If accounts require synchronization due to policy changes, a "Pending Sync" prompt will appear
  6. Click Sync Now to synchronize the changes to authorized accounts immediately, or choose Sync Later

Synchronize Changes to Authorized Accounts

  1. In the permission set details page, view the list of authorized accounts
  2. Select accounts with "Pending Sync" status
  3. Click Sync Now or Synchronize button
  4. A dialog will display the accounts to be synchronized
  5. Review the synchronization information and click Confirm to complete the synchronization
  6. The system will synchronize the permission set changes to the selected accounts

Note: After editing permission sets (adding or removing policies), you need to synchronize the changes to authorized accounts to ensure the latest policies take effect.
